DOMINGUEZ

Rodrigo Dominguez is one of the most active and required saxophonists
in the efervescent Buenos Aires scene. He´s played and studied
with the more prominent musicians in Buenos Aires, and on private
lessons, workshops and jam-sessions with Wayne Shorter, Jerry Bergonzi,
Walt Weiskopft, Ralph Lalama, Chris Cheek, Perico Sambeat, Branford
Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, Phil Markowitz,
Marc Copland, Hal Croock, Greg Hopkins y Ed Tomassi.
Winner of the Berklee in Argentina award in 1994 and 96.
Currently he´s working with Quinteto Urbano, one of the jazz
groups of more presence on the local scene, Guillermo Klein Noneto,
Ernesto Jodos Sexteto, Hernán Merlo Quinteto, Santiago Vázquez
& C.E.I., Fernando Tarrés & Árida Conta, Mariana
Baraj, Guillermo Bazzola & Summer Quartet, Mariano Otero Septeto
and Marcelo Gutfraind Cuarteto, as well as his own projects such
as "Tonal", with Ernesto Jodos in Hammond B3 and Sergio
Verdinelli in drums.
He has toured several countries of Europe and Latin America, performing
with national and international groups.
He teaches privately, in the Leopoldo Marechal School of Music
and in the Escuela de Música Contemporánea (Berklee
Network). He also works as sessionist.
